Founded in 1978 by Pastor Glenn Brown. After 35 years of faithful leadership from Pastor Kent Hummel, Austin Dyekman became Lead Pastor in January 2020.
Good Shepherd is a family where everyone belongs, called to be a change-maker who pushes back darkness and spreads God's redeeming light.

Good Shepherd's mission is its own vocabulary. Every program, event, and communication maps to one of three actions, so people always know their next step.

Come as you are. Sunday services, Heart of the House, and community events. This is where people first connect and the culture of welcome is most visible.

Get deeper. Groups, prayer, encounter nights, and serving. This is where faith moves from attendance to ownership.

Firmly rooted in Scripture, the convictions that guide our decisions as a church.
The Bible
The Bible, including both the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives.

The Trinity
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.
Jesus
We believe Jesus Christ was both fully human and fully divine — the second person of the Trinity. The Scriptures declare His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, substitutionary work on the cross, bodily resurrection, exaltation to the right hand of God, and His personal return for His Church.

Sin
We believe that man was created good and upright. However, man sinned, and that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.

Reconciliation
We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and a fresh start with God, we must repent of our sins, believe in Jesus, and commit to His will for our lives.

We believe God created men and women with equal value and complementary design, embracing their unique gifts as they work, lead, and serve together in God's kingdom.

Our leadership
Austin + Katie Dyekman
Austin serves as the Lead Pastor of Good Shepherd Church. He is passionate about helping people discover God's redemptive plan for their lives and the world around them. He and Katie have been married for 14 years and have three beautiful children.

Honest answers
What denomination is Good Shepherd?
Good Shepherd Church is a non-denominational church and isn't affiliated with any church planting network. Read more about our doctrine and beliefs above.
How long do services typically last?
You can expect to be welcomed by friendly faces from the parking lot in. Services run about 25 minutes of worship followed by a 35-minute message — around 75 minutes total. Don't be shy to linger after; we have free Lima coffee and donuts from Donut Haus!
What should I wear?
There is no dress code at Good Shepherd! Just come as you are and we promise you will feel at home.
Is there a place for my kids?
Yes! Our Early Childhood + Kids rooms are designed especially for kids from 2 months through 5th grade. Check-in opens as early as 7:45 AM, and our Serve Team will help direct you where to go. Middle and high school students have their own gatherings too.
Can I watch services online if I can't attend in person?
Absolutely! If for any reason you can't make our in-person gathering, you can always watch the message live or watch it back on our YouTube channel.
